Missions

In Matthew 24:4-8, Jesus warns that famines, earthquakes, wars and intensified persecution will take place during the last days. However, these are only the beginning of birth pains, according to Jesus. In other words, it is only the beginning of the end.

Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Until the gospel is preached to ALL nations, the end will not come.

Hinghwa has been involved in missions since the mid-eighties with mission exposure trips to Sarawak, Thailand and India. Hinghwa has been focusing on indigenous church-planting work for several years now. The mission partnership started with a young pastor in South Maharashtra, India, after his training in TLBC Singapore, some twenty-over years ago. This work has grown and expanded rapidly and in recent years, this church-planting work has reached even the borders of the state of Karnataka. To-date, more than 130 churches has either been planted or in the process of being established through this partnership in Southern Maharashtra, India. This can be described as an emerging church-planting movement.

Over the last decade and more, Hinghwa has adopted other mission fields such as China/Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, The Philippines and most recently the Northern Indian state of Uttarakhand in the Himalayas mountain range.

Hinghwa has touched, and or help started more than 250 churches in the above countries we are working in.

The book of Revelations prophesies that the Lamb of God has redeemed men and women from EVERY tribe, language, people and nation.

Rev. 9:11 says:
And they sang a new song:
"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.”

One day, when we all get to heaven, we will be surprised and filled with joy. There will be people from different tribes and tongues, whom we have never seen or met, in heaven because we gave of ourselves, our prayers, our time and our money to support these indigenous church planters.
