Leadership is a lonely journey. One is involved in caring , planning and serving others . One can feel drained without mutual support. A sense of keeping our leaders from falling into sins and redundancy where we could challenge, motivate and be accountable to one another is only possible through a mentoring program like we have at the moment. L2L (Leader-to-Leader) is this platform for building a mentoring relationship, encompassing accountability and mutual spiritual support. The Background: Awareness of mentoring was first conceived and shared in 2002. L2L was implemented in 2006 by the pastoral team and ExCo leadership as a followup to nurturing a mentoring culture here in HingHwa Methodist Church. The Purposes:
Curriculum: We use the Million Leaders Mandate (MLM) Note Books written by John Maxwell. Each lesson focuses on the 3 aspects of a leader's development:
Format: The program begins with refreshment and fellowship, followed by worship and a lifter. Thereafter we go to our groups for mutual mentoring .
